Avoiding Recorded Statements

After a crash, don't give recorded statements - even to your own insurer. Insurance companies immediately phone every person involved in a crash. Their investigators are highly trained to secure "recorded statements" that minimize injuries.

The problem is that some nerve injuries only arise AFTER the initial swelling goes down. That can take weeks. For this reason, it is best to avoid giving recorded statements to insurance investigators (even your own insurer) until AFTER a full diagnosis and AFTER you have discussed your claim with a qualified attorney.

Because most attorneys do not charge for an initial consultation, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Most of the time, we are able to give good, solid direction, pointing an injured person in the right direction and eliminating his/her need for an attorney. If injuries are serious, we schedule an appointment. That appointment is also free.

Seek immediate medical care and phone an attorney after a crash.
Even your own insurer is NOT looking out for your best interests.
They want to settle for as little money as they can convince you to take.
